A Little About Us...
Marla Kunselman, owner/designer of Seaside Artisans and Sea Glass Things, of Salem, Massachusetts, has been collecting, cultivating and designing sea glass jewelry for over thirteen years. All designs are handmade, original works of art and true heirloom pieces representing a sliver of history that can be passed on to many generations. The pottery and glass has been naturally tumbled by the surf and sand until it is ripe for the picking. Salem’s rich maritime history leaves the beaches abundant with distant, yet tangible, memories.
We have been scouring the beaches for years - gathering baubles and treasures that have washed ashore. We also kayak to islands around the New England coast for our bounty.... always searching for a new place to hunt for the hidden treasures.
Advancements in technology and increased environmental awareness through the years have made it more difficult to find sea glass.
